June 6, 1944 - Early morning - Uto. Dreher and Gfr. Maier had a nice day planned when these damn paratroopers dropped
out of the sky and ruined the morning. It’s time to get out of this area and back among friends.
June 6, 1944 - Late morning - Flooded fields and bad drop discipline have forces scattered all over Normandy. Firefights
rage everywhere.
June 6, 1944 - Noon - Keeping the roads clear of enemy forces requires patrols.
Sgt Harrison and his boys stumble onto a local farmhouse. Just when they start getting ready to pillage the place
the situation goes sour.
Approaching the crossroad, a local German patrol has no idea what waits for them.
Time is of the essence. Paratroopers from different commands have met up in Normandy and have to secure La Fière
Bridge. The German forces have troops on the other side of the river and must keep the Americans from taking
the position.
Fighting has gotten intense as Sgt Harrison and the boys of the 101st attempt to take a nearby mansion.
“Keep your eyes and ears open!” Sighting the enemy in the forest will be a challenge. Keeping your soldiers on solid
footing will be even more so.
After a long battle through the night, German forces are still pressing to retake Le Fiere Manoir from the Paratroopers.
Runners had been dispatched the previous night but may have gotten lost. Can reinforcements arrive before the
Germans fully take the manor?
An Allied plane has been shot down and has crashed landed in the Paturage de Vache. Nearby Paratroopers have been
tasked with recovering any survivors and must protect them as they escape. Meanwhile the Germans believe this
to be a worthy chance at gathering intel on the Allied attack plans. There is only one spot in the area where
the Merderet is fordable and both forces are heading straight for it.
A lull in the battle has enabled both sides to seek a place to rest. A few houses up ahead might offer a hot meal
or a warm place to sleep. The risk is there may be troops already in there or thinking the same thing. Best to
move up cautiously.
The Germans have assembled the remnants of the forces driven back from La Fière Bridge with a small group of reinforcements.
The mission is to recapture the manor at Brecourt inorder to halt the Allied advance.
A squad from the 101st has been tasked with silencing the guns near Brécourt Manor. Led by Sgt. Harrison and Pvt.
Fields, they head towards Brécourt. They find several German howitzers firing on the beach landings. It is up
to them to stop them at all costs.
As Sgt. Harrison’s squad approaches Brecourt they are confronted with several Germans foraging in the nearby farm.
Gef. Maier and several Germans rush into defensive positions. Today is turning out to be one heck of a day!
Uto. Dreher’s ears have been ringing for a quite some time now since the artillery batteries have been active. After
a brief meeting, he notices the area is eerily quiet around the manor. Suddenly, the crack and whiz of small
arms fire erupts. There is no way the Allied forces have made it here!
Gef. Maier and his squad are out on patrol at night near St. Come du Mont. Their patrol takes them near a graveyard.
As they joke about ghost stories, Maier notices movement among the graves. Could it just be his imagination,
or is this graveyard teeming with life?
The US paratroopers are pounding the Germans hard over the third gun emplacement. Uto. Dreher is running out of trench
line and the US forces are moving in. The battle becomes even more ferocious as German forces are a cornered.
Sgt. Harrison is having a difficult time taking the third gun. Suppressive fire on the right flank is making forward
progress almost impossible. The only viable option at the moment is to take the gun straight on in an attempt
to overwhelm the defensive position. It is a very tricky gamble but it might just pay off.
Allied forces are moving at a crawl across Normandy. There is a critical forest just beyond the Merderet River that
must be secured to acquire an overwatch position for launching an assault on La Fière Bridge. However, the Germans
know it too.
The battle over the small town has been waging for well over 24 hours. Both sides are weary but something or someone
has to give. Runners have been dispatched for reinforcements but is there enough time, or ammunition, for it
to even matter?
Germans reinforcements have arrived to help support forces driven back from La Fière Bridge. They have established
a point in the manor at Brecourt and hope to halt the Allied advance.

During the battle Sgt. Carter has arrived to provide some much needed support to the assault. Catching the Germans
off guard with a secondary attack will hopefully force this fight to an abrupt end.
Having successfully shut down the fourth artillery piece at Brecourt, the paratroopers must make a hasty exit to
avoid further casualties. The German forces who recently retreated have been reinforced are now heading back
to secure what might be left of the entrenched artillery battery.
